Shanghai Hongke Automation Instrument Co., Ltd. TFXD External Clamp Time Difference Ultrasonic Flow Meter Ultrasonic Flow Meter Installation and Use Precautions:
1. The input pipeline parameters must be correct and consistent with the actual situation, otherwise the flow meter cannot work normally.
.2、 When installing an external clamp sensor, use a lot of coupling agent to stick the sensor to the pipeline wall. While checking the signal strength and signal quality values displayed by the host, slowly move the sensor near the installation point until the strongest signal and maximum signal quality value are received. The larger the diameter of the pipeline, the greater the range of sensor movement. Then confirm whether the installation distance matches the sensor installation distance given by M25, and whether the sensor is installed on the same straight line as the pipeline axis. Pay special attention to pipes made of rolled steel plates, as these pipes are irregular. If the signal strength is always marked as 0.00, it indicates that the flowmeter has not received the ultrasonic signal. Check whether the parameters (including all parameters related to the pipeline) are input correctly, whether the sensor installation method is selected correctly, whether the pipeline is too old, whether its lining is too thick, whether there is fluid in the pipeline, whether it is too close to the valve elbow, whether there are too many bubbles in the fluid, etc. If it is not for these reasons, the signal cannot be received, so we have to try another measurement point or choose a plug-in sensor.
3、 Confirm whether the flowmeter is working properly and reliably: the stronger the signal strength and the higher the signal quality Q value, the higher the credibility of the displayed flow value, and the more reliable the flowmeter can work for a long time. If the environmental electromagnetic interference is too large or the received signal is too low, the reliability of the displayed flow value will be poor, and the possibility of long-term reliable operation will be small.
4、 At the end of installation, power on the instrument again and check if the results are correct.
Ultrasonic flow meters mainly use the time difference method for measurement, which is a common ultrasonic flow measurement technique.. In the time difference method, the time difference of ultrasonic signals propagating in the fluid is used to calculate the flow velocity. Specifically, ultrasonic transmitters and receivers are usually installed on both sides of the pipeline, with signals transmitted from one side to the other while returning in reverse flow. By measuring the difference in propagation time between upstream and downstream, the average velocity of the fluid can be calculated. The advantage of this method is that it does not require direct contact with the fluid, reducing the need for maintenance and cleaning. However, there are also a few cases where Doppler effect is used for ultrasonic flow measurement. The Doppler method is mainly applied to fluids containing particles or bubbles, and calculates flow velocity by detecting the frequency changes of ultrasonic waves reflected back by particles or bubbles in the fluid. This method is particularly suitable for measuring wastewa
