1. Cleaning Method for Air Flow Meter

The cleaning of air flow meters should be carried out according to the following steps to avoid damage caused by improper operation:

1. Confirm the installation position and type position. Search along the intake pipe behind the air filter. Air flow meters are usually installed in the middle section of the intake pipe by An Chong Hui Chun.

. There are two common forms: independent type: installation with holes on the intake pipe, fixed by pipe clamps or screws. Integrated: directly designed as a section of the intake pipe, integrated with the pipeline. The applicable system is only suitable for L-type electronic fuel injection system engines (with high injection accuracy but high cost). The D-type electronic fuel injection system engine does not have an air flow meter and does not require cleaning.

2. Prepare tools for disassembling the air flow meter: a cross screwdriver (for screw fixing type) or a straight screwdriver (for pipe clamp fixing type). Anti static gloves (to prevent static electricity from damaging sensitive components). Disassembly steps: Disconnect the power supply: unplug the electrical plug of the air flow meter to avoid short circuit. Loosen the fixing device: Screw fixing type: Use a screwdriver to unscrew the two fixing screws. Pipe clamp fixed type: Use a straight screwdriver to pry open the pipe clamp and separate the intake pipe. Remove the flowmeter: Shake or rotate the components gently to avoid excessive force that may cause the internal thermal wire to break. 3. Choose specialized electronic component cleaning agents (such as CRC QD series) or anhydrous alcohol for cleaning core components, and avoid using solvents containing co

rrosive chemicals. Cleaning method for shell and interface: Use a soft bristled brush or dry cloth to wipe off surface dust. Heat sensitive wire area: Spray a small amount of cleaning agent on the surface of the heat sensitive wire and wait for 10-15 seconds for the dirt to dissolve. Blow gently with compressed air (pressure ≤ 0.3MPa) from different angles to ensure no residual liquid. Do not directly touch or wipe the thermal filament, which has a diameter of only a few microns and is prone to breakage. Dry naturally or blow dry with cold air to avoid deformation of components caused by high temperature drying.

4. Reinstall and check. Align the installation steps with the intake pipe interface and gently press to ensure that the sealing ring is fully fitted.

. Fixed pipe clamps or screws, recommended torque value: 2-3N · m (refer to vehicle maintenance manual). Reconnect the electrical plug and confirm locking with a "click" sound. Function verification: Start the engine and observe whether the idle speed is stable (700-900rpm is the normal range). Test acceleration response without any jerking or shaking phenomenon. Use a diagnostic tool to read the fault code and confirm that there are no abnormal voltage codes such as P0101/P0102/P0103.

Fifth, Fault Correlation and Prevention Common fault phenomena include weak acceleration, unstable idle, or stalling.

. Abnormal increase in fuel consumption (particularly evident in urban driving). Shifting jerks (automatic transmission models). Fault code: P0171/P0172: The mixture is too lean/too rich (indirectly reflecting the deviation of flow meter data). Maintenance suggestion: Check every 20000 kilometers: focus on observing whether the thermal wire has carb
