The terms "flow meter front 5, back 3" or "front 10, back 5" mainly depend on the measurement requirements.

1、 Specifically, the top 5 and bottom 3 indicate that there needs to be a straight pipe section with a length of 5 times the pipe diameter in front of the flowmeter, while there needs to be a straight pipe section with a length of 3 times the pipe diameter behind the flowmeter. The top ten and bottom five indicate that there needs to be a straight pipe section with a length of 10 times the pipe diameter in front of the flowmeter, and a straight pipe section with a length of 5 times the pipe diameter behind the flowmeter.

2、 The installation requirements of front 5 and back 3, front 10 and back 5 of the flowmeter are both designed to ensure that the flow state of the fluid in the flowmeter is stable and stable, thereby improving the accuracy of measurement. The requirements for the top 5 and bottom 3 are relatively low, while the top 10 and bottom 5 are more stringent standards. In practical applications, appropriate installation requirements should be selected based on factors such as specific fluid conditions, pipeline diameter, and flow meter type.

2. Precautions for installation of electromagnetic flowmeter

The installation of electromagnetic flowmeter should strictly follow the following precautions to ensure measurement accuracy and long-term stability

1. Installation location selection should avoid strong electromagnetic interference: stay away from high-power motors, transformers, welding machines and other strong electromagnetic sources to prevent signal interference from causing measurement errors.

severe vibration (such as pumps, compressors) to prevent sensor damage or signal distortion. Control ambient temperature: Ensure that the ambient temperature is within the calibration range of the flowmeter (usually -20 ℃~60 ℃). High temperatures may damage electronic components, while low temperatures may cause fluid freezing or lining shrinkage. Reserved maintenance space: The installation location should be convenient for later calibration, maintenance, and cleaning. It is recommended to reserve at least 0.5 meters of operating space.

2. Pipeline requirements: When installed vertically, the fluid should flow from bottom to top to ensure that the pipeline is always filled with fluid.

. When installed horizontally, the slope of the pipeline should be ≥ 1% to avoid the accumulation of gas or sediment. Length of straight pipe section: Upstream: at least 5-10 times the diameter (D) of the straight pipe section (if there are disturbance sources such as valves or elbows upstream, it needs to be extended to 10D).
